About the Role The Pipe Layer/Installer plays a critical role in underground construction by installing water, sewer, and drainage systems that connect communities and support long-term infrastructure. This position works closely with equipment operators and laborers to ensure pipe systems are installed safely, accurately, and according to plan. Whether you're an experienced Pipe Layer or a strong construction professional ready to grow into the role, we're interested in talking to you. What You'll Be Doing Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and grade stakes Measure, cut, assemble, and install pipe for: Water mains Sewer lines Storm and drainage systems Set pipe to properline, grade, and slope Work inside trenches following OSHA trench safety standards Assist with trench preparation, bedding, and backfill Locate, remove, and replace existing underground piping when required Pressure test systems to ensure proper installation Communicate closely with operators and crew members Maintain a clean, organized, and safe jobsite Required / Preferred Experience Construction experience required Pipe laying experience preferred (training provided for the right candidate) Experience working with underground utilities is a plus Comfort working around heavy equipment and active jobsites Skills & Knowledge Ability to read blueprints, schematics, and utility plans Strong measuring and layout skills Knowledge of pipe installation methods, fittings, and materials Ability to use hand tools and power tools Understanding of trench safety and jobsite best practices Strong attention to detail and problem-solving ability

Pay Range:
