Must be able to calculate and shoot grades for operator/foreman. We are seeking a motivated and skilled Laborer Pipe Layer to join our underground utilities construction team. In this vital role, you will be responsible for assisting with the installation and maintenance of underground pipelines and utility systems. Your energetic approach and attention to detail will help ensure projects are completed safely, efficiently, and to the highest standards. This position offers an exciting opportunity to work on diverse construction sites, utilizing heavy equipment and precision tools to bring utility infrastructure projects to life. Responsibilities Operate heavy machinery such as dozers, loaders, backhoes, excavators, and front loader trucks to excavate trenches and prepare sites for pipe installation Read and interpret blueprints, construction plans, and utility maps accurately to guide installation processes Lay underground pipelines with precision using pipe lasers and other specialized tools, ensuring proper alignment and depth Perform concrete finishing tasks and assist with concrete forming when required for utility structures (not required) Conduct utility locating to identify existing underground services before excavation begins, preventing damage or accidents Maintain a clean, organized worksite by managing materials, tools, and equipment efficiently Requirements Proven experience operating heavy equipment such as dozers, loaders, backhoes, excavators, forklifts, and front loader trucks in construction settings Ability to read blueprints and construction plans with clarity and confidence Knowledge of pipeline installation techniques, plumbing systems, concrete forming, and concrete finishing processes Familiarity with utility locating methods and the use of pipe lasers for precise alignment Experience working on construction sites within the oil & gas or utility sectors is highly desirable Strong safety awareness with a commitment to following all safety protocols on-site Physical stamina to perform demanding tasks including lifting heavy materials and working in various weather conditions Join our team if you're eager to contribute your skills in heavy equipment operation, pipeline installation, and utility infrastructure development.
