Job Description

Job Overview We are seeking an experienced and skilled Painter to join our team, specializing in both residential and commercial projects. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in various painting techniques, construction processes, and site preparation. Duties Prepare surfaces by cleaning, sanding, plastering, caulking, and applying primer to ensure optimal paint adhesion. Apply paint, stain, or other finishes using brushes, rollers, airless paint sprayers, or other equipment to achieve desired textures and appearances. Utilize hand tools such as scrapers, putty knives, trowels, and power tools including drills and sanders for surface preparation and finishing. Maintain a clean work environment while adhering to safety protocols on construction sites. Collaborate with project managers to meet deadlines and ensure quality standards are met throughout the project lifecycle. Qualifications Proven experience in residential and commercial painting with a strong portfolio of completed projects. Skilled in handling various hand tools and power tools used in painting and carpentry tasks. Familiarity with construction site safety standards and protocols. Ability to perform plastering, caulking, stucco application, masonry work, drywall repair, fixture installation, and other related trades. Strong understanding of color theory for effective color matching and finishes. Experience with industrial painting techniques including airless spray systems. Basic math skills for measurements and calculations related to project scope. Additional maintenance person experience such as welding, framing carpentry, concrete finishing, masonry work, or remodeling is a plus. Valid driver's license preferred for site travel; own transportation is advantageous.
