We are looking for an experienced Service Plumbing Technician / Sales Technician who combines strong plumbing knowledge with excellent communication, customer-service, and sales skills. This position is responsible for running plumbing service calls, diagnosing customer concerns, presenting solutions, preparing estimates, closing qualified opportunities, and completing service work when appropriate . Larger projects may be transferred to our installation teams for completion. Key ResponsibilitiesRun Plumbing Service Calls Run residential and light commercial plumbing service calls Arrive on time, prepared, and professionally presented Listen carefully to customer concerns Thoroughly inspect and diagnose plumbing problems Identify the source of the problem rather than simply addressing symptoms Explain findings clearly to customers Complete appropriate service and repair work Identify larger projects requiring installation crews or specialized equipment Communicate sold-job information clearly to the installation team Diagnose & Present Solutions The Service Technician should be comfortable diagnosing and providing solutions involving: Traditional and tankless water heaters Faucets, toilets, fixtures, and valves Water leaks Water-pressure problems Water lines Gas lines Drain and sewer problems Sewer repairs and replacements Sewer camera inspections Plumbing system upgrades General residential and commercial plumbing Experience with trenchless sewer technology and epoxy pipe lining is a plus but not required. Sales Responsibilities This is a service and sales position . The technician will be expected to: Educate customers about their plumbing systems Present repair and replacement options Provide multiple solutions when appropriate Explain the benefits and scope of each option Prepare accurate estimates Clearly communicate pricing before work begins Answer customer questions and professionally handle objections Ask for the customer's business and close qualified opportunities Identify legitimate additional plumbing concerns Explain available financing and payment options when appropriate Document options presented and customer decisions Follow up according to company procedures Our approach is professional, educational, and customer-focused—not high-pressure sales . ServiceTitan - Required Previous ServiceTitan experience is required for this position. The Service Technician must be comfortable using ServiceTitan in the field to: Review and manage assigned calls Update job status throughout the day Review customer and job history Build estimates Present options and estimates to customers Document diagnostic findings Upload job-site photos and videos Document customer communications Record approved and declined options Obtain required customer signatures Collect and document payments Create detailed job notes Provide complete information for installation crews when sold work is transferred Properly complete and close out jobs Candidates should be comfortable using ServiceTitan independently as part of their normal daily workflow. Treat customers professionally and respectfully Listen before recommending solutions Communicate clearly and confidently Respect and protect customer property Maintain a professional appearance Handle difficult customer situations professionally Follow through on commitments Build long-term customer relationships Deliver a customer experience that generates repeat business and referrals Technical Responsibilities Diagnose plumbing problems accurately Perform service plumbing repairs Complete smaller repairs during the initial visit when appropriate Conduct plumbing and sewer inspections Perform sewer camera inspections when qualified Identify situations requiring additional technicians or installation crews Properly communicate sold work to installers Take required photos and videos Maintain accurate job notes Follow applicable plumbing codes and safety requirements Maintain company vehicle, tools, and equipment Required Qualifications Minimum 3 years of professional plumbing experience preferred Previous ServiceTitan experience required Strong plumbing diagnostic and troubleshooting skills Residential service-plumbing experience strongly preferred Strong communication and customer-service skills Comfortable presenting estimates and discussing pricing Comfortable asking customers to approve recommended work Previous plumbing sales experience strongly preferred Ability to work independently Strong organization and time-management skills Ability to work efficiently in high-pressure situations Professional appearance and attitude Valid driver's license and acceptable driving record What We're Looking For Plumber First — You understand plumbing and properly diagnose problems before recommending solutions. Compensation & Benefits $25.00-$34.00 per hour + Commission Starting hourly pay will be based on plumbing experience, technical knowledge, service experience, ServiceTitan proficiency, and sales ability. In addition to hourly compensation, Service Technicians have the opportunity to earn commission based on sales and performance .
