Job Overview We are seeking a skilled and motivated Journeyman Plumber to join our team. In this vital role, you will be responsible for installing, repairing, and maintaining plumbing systems across residential and commercial projects. Your expertise will ensure all work complies with local building codes, safety regulations, and industry standards. This position offers an exciting opportunity to apply your mechanical knowledge, craftsmanship, and customer service skills to deliver high-quality plumbing solutions that meet client expectations and project deadlines. Duties Install, repair, and maintain plumbing systems including pipes, fixtures, gas piping systems, and water heaters in residential and commercial settings. Read and interpret construction plans, schematics, blueprints, and technical drawings to execute precise plumbing installations. Use hand tools, power tools, and other construction tools safely and effectively. Ensure all work adheres to local building codes, plumbing building codes, and safety regulations while maintaining compliance with the latest industry standards. Perform routine maintenance on plumbing systems, troubleshoot issues using mechanical knowledge, and conduct repairs efficiently on-site. Collaborate with construction teams to coordinate plumbing installation activities within larger projects such as remodeling or new construction. Maintain accurate documentation of work performed, materials used, and inspections completed for project records. Requirements Proven experience as a Journeyman Plumber with a strong background in construction site work and field service operations. Valid journeyman license or certification demonstrating completion of required apprenticeship hours. Extensive knowledge of plumbing system maintenance and repair techniques for residential and commercial applications. Familiarity with plumbing building codes, local regulations, schematics, blueprints, and construction plans. Ability to operate hand tools, power tools, and basic carpentry tools safely. Strong mechanical aptitude with experience in gas piping systems, pipe installation (including heavy lifting), remodeling projects, and new construction. Excellent customer service skills to communicate effectively with clients and team members while ensuring satisfaction. Physical ability to perform heavy lifting tasks and work in various environmental conditions on construction sites. Basic math skills for measurements and calculations related to pipe sizing and layout design. Valid driver's license. Knowledge of safety regulations related to construction plumbing operations to maintain a safe work environment at all times.
