Job Description

The City of Saint Paul Department of Safety and Inspections is hiring an individual to perform full performance inspections work to ensure that plumbing and drainage alterations, and installations are consistent with approved plans and specifications, in accordance with the requirements of the Minnesota Plumbing Code, the Minnesota State Building Code, and Saint Paul Regional Water Service Codes. Here's what you can expect to do: Inspect and report on installations and alterations of plumbing work to assure that approved materials are used, and proper workmanship is performed. Issue orders and enforce corrections on non-compliant items. Perform tests of plumbing installations, equipment, and materials. For more information and essential functions, see our job description .

Must possess and maintain:
State of Minnesota Plumber License Journey or master level competency card issued by the City of Saint Paul Certificate of competency as a backflow tester within one year of hire A valid Minnesota Class D Driver's License or equivalent out of state driver's license Submit a City of Saint Paul online application by the closing date.
