Job Overview We are seeking a skilled and motivated Journeyman Plumber to join our dynamic construction and maintenance team. Duties Install, troubleshoot, repair, and maintain plumbing systems including pipes, fixtures, gas piping systems, and HVAC components on construction sites and existing structures. Read and interpret construction plans, blueprints, schematics, and technical drawings to accurately execute plumbing installations. Use hand tools, power tools, pipe threading equipment, and welding techniques to assemble and install plumbing components efficiently. Ensure all work adheres to local building codes, plumbing building codes, safety regulations, and industry standards for mechanical and plumbing systems. Perform pipe installation tasks involving cutting, fitting, threading, soldering, welding, and heavy lifting to complete projects safely and effectively. Conduct routine maintenance and repairs of plumbing systems to ensure optimal performance and compliance with building code requirements. Collaborate with project managers, contractors, electricians, HVAC technicians, carpenters, and other tradespeople to coordinate construction activities seamlessly. Maintain detailed documentation of work performed, including schematics updates and inspection reports for quality assurance purposes. Follow safety protocols diligently during all phases of work to prevent accidents or injuries on the job site. Qualifications Proven experience as a Journeyman Plumber with a strong background in construction plumbing projects. Knowledge of plumbing building codes, local regulations, safety standards, and industry best practices. Ability to read blueprints, schematics, construction plans, and technical drawings accurately. Skilled in the use of hand tools, power tools (including pipe threading equipment), welding equipment, and HVAC components. Familiarity with gas piping systems and pipe installation techniques in both residential and commercial settings. Experience with maintenance, repair operations (MRO), remodeling projects, and system troubleshooting. Mechanical knowledge related to plumbing system maintenance and repair across diverse environments. Strong customer service skills with the ability to communicate effectively with clients and team members. Physical ability to perform heavy lifting safely while working at heights or in confined spaces; capable of standing for extended periods. Basic math skills for measurements and calculations; carpentry experience is a plus for framing or structural adjustments related to plumbing work. Valid driver's license for local travel between job sites; commercial driving experience is advantageous.
