Plumbing Division Lead Air O Smith Heating & Air Conditioning — Point Harbor, NC (Outer Banks / Hampton Roads region) About Us Air O Smith Heating & Air Conditioning is a growing HVAC contractor serving the Outer Banks, Dare, Currituck, and surrounding Eastern NC counties, with expansion underway into the Hampton Roads, Virginia market. We're licensed (NC HVAC License #19282), locally trusted, and building out our service offerings to better serve residential and commercial customers across the region. We're now looking to launch a plumbing division — and we need someone who can lead it from the ground up. The Opportunity This isn't a "join an existing team" role — it's a chance to build and run a new division inside an established, growing company. You'll be the person who sets the standard for how Air O Smith does plumbing: hiring the team, establishing pricing and processes, building customer trust, and growing the division into a real revenue engine alongside our HVAC business. What You'll Do Lead day-to-day operations of the plumbing division — residential and light commercial service, repair, and installation work Hire, train, and manage plumbing technicians as the division grows Set pricing strategy in coordination with company leadership, including flat-rate/pricebook structure Build relationships with customers, general contractors, and property managers to generate steady work Ensure all work meets NC (and eventually VA) plumbing code and licensing requirements Manage scheduling, dispatch, and job quality alongside our existing Housecall Pro-based operations Collaborate with ownership on growth targets, staffing plans, and equipment/vehicle needs Occasionally run service and repair calls yourself, especially in the early stages of building the team What We're Looking For Active NC Master Plumber license (or ability to obtain one quickly); VA licensure a plus given our Hampton Roads expansion Proven experience running or managing a plumbing crew or division — not just working as a tech Strong troubleshooting and hands-on skills across residential and light commercial plumbing systems
