Job Description

Job Overview We are seeking a skilled and motivated Journeyman Plumber to join our dynamic construction and maintenance team. In this role, you will be responsible for installing, repairing, and maintaining plumbing systems across residential, commercial, and industrial projects. Your expertise will ensure all work complies with local building codes and safety regulations while delivering top-quality service to clients. This position offers the opportunity to work on diverse projects, utilize a wide range of tools and techniques, and contribute to building safe, efficient plumbing systems that meet the highest standards. Responsibilities Install, repair, and maintain plumbing systems including pipes, fixtures, gas piping systems, and drainage in residential, commercial, and industrial settings. Read blueprints, schematics, construction plans, and technical drawings to accurately execute plumbing layouts. Use hand tools, power tools, pipe threading machines, and welding equipment to complete installations and repairs efficiently. Ensure all work adheres to local building codes, plumbing building codes, mechanical knowledge standards, and safety regulations. Perform pipe installation tasks such as cutting, fitting, threading, soldering, and welding to create secure plumbing connections. Conduct routine maintenance and repairs on existing plumbing systems to prevent issues and ensure optimal operation. Collaborate with construction teams, contractors, project managers, and clients to coordinate work schedules and meet project deadlines. Maintain a clean and safe work environment by following safety protocols during heavy lifting, use of scaffolding or ladders, and handling hazardous materials. Assist with remodeling projects or handyman tasks as needed to support construction site needs. Keep detailed records of work performed, materials used, inspections completed, and compliance documentation. Qualifications Proven experience as a Journeyman Plumber with a strong background in construction plumbing and maintenance. Valid journeyman plumber license or certification recognized by local authorities. Extensive knowledge of plumbing codes including local building codes and safety regulations. Skilled in reading blueprints, schematics, construction plans, and technical diagrams. Proficient with hand tools such as wrenches, pipe cutters; power tools including drills; welding equipment; pipe threading machines; HVAC systems; and carpentry tools. Experience working on construction sites with a focus on heavy lifting and working at heights when necessary. Ability to interpret technical drawings related to gas piping systems and mechanical layouts. Strong mechanical knowledge combined with basic math skills for measurements and calculations. Excellent customer service skills for interacting professionally with clients during service calls or project execution. Valid driver's license for commercial driving duties if required by project scope. Knowledge of safety regulations related to construction sites including OSHA standards or equivalent safety certifications. Experience with maintenance repair operations (MRO), remodeling projects, or handyman tasks is a plus.
