Journeyman Plumber Trefz Mechanical Lansdale, PA Job Details Full-time $40 - $45 an hour 1 day ago Benefits Health insurance Dental insurance Paid time off Qualifications Brazing equipment Copper piping PVC pipe Computer literacy Soldering tools High school diploma or GED Driver's License Journeyman Plumber Cast iron Mechanical knowledge Copper Full Job Description Job Summary Plumber must be capable and responsible for reading prints and shop drawings, layout, material orders, and being able to run work on their own under the guidance of a Forman and an apprentice working with them. Plumber would need to be proficient with layout, fit up, and installation (including hangers) for copper press, brazed copper systems (including with nitrogen purge), soldering, pvc, cast (no hub and hub and spigot). Essential Job Functions
  • Reading plumbing drawings and having an understanding and ability to interpret other trade drawings such as architectural, structural, and electrical as needed for coordination.
  • Fabricating and installing systems in accordance with drawings and coordinating work with other trades.
  • Proficient in fabrication and installation of plumbing systems.
  • Proficient in tack welding structural support elements
  • Identify conflicts and provide recommended solutions.
  • In depth knowledge of systems, staying on top of material, and providing material lists as necessary to stay ahead of the work.
  • Inspect workplace, clear obstructions, prepare materials and equipment.
  • Receiving and unloading material and equipment deliveries.
  • Proficient in rigging and material handling practices.
  • Understanding code requirements as it relates to installation, testing, and roughens.
  • Working efficiently and in harmony with other journeyman and apprentices
  • Accurately and efficiently following direction from the foreman and providing direction to apprentices
  • Tracking and reporting work progress to the foreman.
  • Working in accordance with safe practices and identifying any safety hazards.

                    • Other duties as assigned. Qualifications, Experience, and Education
                    • High school diploma or GED.
                    • License to work as a plumber.
                    • 5+ years' experience in commercial and residential plumbing.
                    • Valid Driver's license. Computer and Equipment Skills
                    • Basic skills in the use of technology including iPad, and job-related software.
                    • Basic familiarity with mechanical and HVAC tools and equipment.
                    Pay:
                    $40.00 - $45.00 per hour Expected hours: 40.0 - 45.0 per week
