Duties Assist licensed plumbers with pipe installation, fitting, and system repairs on construction sites, ensuring all work complies with local building codes and schematics. Operate hand tools, power tools, and pipe threading equipment safely and efficiently to support plumbing system installation and maintenance. Read blueprints, schematics, and construction plans to accurately execute plumbing layouts for residential and commercial projects. Support the installation of gas piping systems, drainage systems, and water supply lines while following safety regulations and industry standards. Conduct routine maintenance, repairs, and troubleshooting of plumbing systems to ensure optimal performance during construction phases. Handle heavy lifting of pipes and materials while maintaining proper safety protocols; assist with remodeling and handyman tasks as needed. Maintain detailed documentation of work performed, including schematics, system diagrams, and compliance reports for quality assurance. Experience Construction experience in plumbing or related trades is highly preferred, demonstrating familiarity with construction site protocols and safety standards. Knowledge of plumbing building codes, local regulations, and industry best practices for residential and commercial projects. Experience reading blueprints, schematics, and construction plans to accurately execute plumbing layouts. Hands-on experience with welding, pipe threading, gas piping systems, and the use of hand tools and power tools required for installation tasks. Strong understanding of safety regulations related to construction sites, including proper use of personal protective equipment (PPE). Basic math skills for measurements, calculations related to pipe sizing, flow rates, and system specifications. Excellent customer service skills when interacting with clients or project managers during field service or maintenance activities.
