Overview We are seeking a skilled and motivated Journeyman Plumber to join our dynamic construction and maintenance team. In this vital role, you will be responsible for installing, repairing, and maintaining plumbing systems across a variety of projects, including residential, commercial, and industrial sites. Your expertise will ensure all work complies with local building codes, safety regulations, and industry standards. This position offers an exciting opportunity to apply your technical skills in a fast-paced environment while contributing to high-quality construction and renovation projects. Responsibilities Install, repair, and maintain plumbing systems using hand tools, power tools, pipe threading equipment, and welding techniques. Read and interpret construction plans, schematics, blueprints, and technical drawings to accurately execute plumbing layouts. Ensure all work adheres to plumbing building codes, local regulations, and safety standards to guarantee building code compliance. Work with construction teams on site to coordinate plumbing installation within project timelines and specifications. Perform routine maintenance and repairs on existing plumbing systems in residential and commercial buildings. Install gas piping systems safely and efficiently while following all safety regulations and industry best practices. Troubleshoot plumbing issues using basic math skills and technical knowledge to diagnose problems quickly and accurately. Qualifications Proven construction experience with a strong background in plumbing installation, repair, and maintenance. Valid Journeyman Plumber license or equivalent certification recognized by local authorities. Experience with welding, pipe threading, schematics reading, and working with blueprints or construction plans. Knowledge of plumbing building codes, safety regulations, and local building standards. Familiarity with residential plumbing systems as well as commercial plumbing applications. Ability to operate hand tools, power tools, heavy lifting equipment, and other construction site machinery safely. Strong customer service skills with the ability to communicate effectively with team members and clients. Experience working on construction sites or in field service environments; remodeling or handyman experience is a plus. Basic math skills for measurements, calculations, and troubleshooting plumbing issues effectively. $22.00 - $25.00 per hour Expected hours: 40.0 per week
