Job Description

TRS is growing and seeking an experienced Restoration Technician to support our expanding fire, water, mold, and storm damage restoration operations throughout Greater Cincinnati, Northern Kentucky, and Dayton areas. We are looking for a motivated, hands-on professional who can take ownership of restoration projects in the field, deliver exceptional customer service, and help clients recover from unexpected property damage. This role is ideal for someone who enjoys problem-solving, working independently, and making direct impact during challenging situations. You will work closely with Project Managers, Estimators, customers, and subcontractors to execute restoration projects safely, efficiently, and in accordance with industry standards. What You'll Do
  • Respond to water, fire, mold, and storm damage restoration projects;
  • Perform water extraction, structural drying, equipment setup, monitoring, and removal in accordance with IICRC standards;
  • Conduct demolition and removal of damaged building materials as needed;
  • Operate and maintain restoration equipment including dehumidifiers, air movers, moisture meters, extractors, and other specialized tools;
  • Document moisture readings, job progress, equipment usage, and daily activities using company software and reporting systems;
  • Maintain company vehicles, equipment, and inventory to ensure readiness for emergency response;
  • Participate in an on-call rotation and respond to after-hours emergency losses when scheduled;
  • Assist with minor repairs, reconstruction activities, and other restoration-related tasks as needed;
  • Support team members and contribute to successful project completion. What We're Looking For
  • Minimum two years of experience in water damage restoration, mitigation, carpet cleaning, construction, or a related field;
  • Experience operating restoration equipment and understanding drying principles preferred;
  • IICRC Water Restoration Technician (WRT) certification preferred but not required;
  • Strong customer service and communication skills;
  • Ability to work effectively in occupied homes, commercial properties, and multifamily communities;
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail;
  • Ability to lift 50-75 pounds and work in physically demanding environments;
  • Ability to pass a background check and drug screening;
  • Valid driver's license, reliable transportation, and auto insurance (plus the ability to maintain a driving record that allows you to be insurable by our commercial policy in order to operate our company vehicles) Compensation & Benefits
  • Competitive hourly pay of $20-25 per hour based on experience and qualifications.

$20.00 - $25.00 per hour
