ROLE SUMMARY
The General Laborer / Helper supports the field crew in the daily execution of construction activities across all Fireproof Contractors' scopes of work. This is an entry-level field role that provides the opportunity to learn the trade, grow within the company, and contribute to the safe and efficient completion of our projects. The ideal candidate is hardworking, punctual, safety-conscious, and ready to take direction from the Foreman and Superintendent.

Daily Movement:
Climbing Ladders, Scaffolds Physical Activity:
Bending over, reaching above head
Equipment Operation:
Scissor Lifts, Boom Lifts, Forklifts Out-of-Town Work:
Possible out-of-town work as required by project assignments.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND TASKS
Scaffold Movement:
Pushing scaffold as directed by the Foreman.
Material Handling:
Use of Pallet Jacks to move materials. Carrying empty material bags for disposal.
Floor Cleaning:
Pushing Metal Scraper to clean floor surfaces in preparation for application.
JHA Compliance:
Fill out Daily JHA (Job Hazard Analysis) before work begins each day.
Area Cleanup:
Area cleanup, trash disposal, and maintaining a clean and safe job site throughout the day.
Poly Work:
Cutting and hanging poly for protection, and spreading poly on floor for protection.
Material Trimming:
Cutting or trimming back excess material as directed.
Scaffold Building:
Building scaffolds under the direction of the Foreman or Superintendent.
Metal Lath:
Mechanically Attached Metal Lath as required by project scope.
Daily Tools:
Box Knife, Pliers, Scrappers, Pipe Wrenches, Socket Set, Screwdrivers, T3 Ramset Guns, Caulking Guns, Sanders, Grinder, Mixing Drill, Brooms, Shovels, Paint Rollers and Brushes, Sawzall.

QUALIFICATIONS
Experience:
No prior experience required. Construction or labor experience is a plus.
Physical Ability:
Must be able to lift 50 lbs, climb ladders and scaffolds, and perform physical labor in varying weather conditions.
Bilingual:
Speaking Spanish and English fluently is strongly preferred.
Attributes:
Hardworking, punctual, dependable, safety-conscious, and willing to take direction and learn the trade.
POSITION TYPE / EXPECTED HOURS OF WORK
This is a full-time, hourly position, and workdays are Monday through Friday.
