Job Description

Overview We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Fabricator to join our dynamic manufacturing team. In this role, you will be responsible for transforming raw metal materials into precise, high-quality components and assemblies according to detailed technical drawings and specifications. Your expertise in various welding techniques, metal fabrication, and mechanical interpretation will be essential to ensure the production of durable, accurate, and safe metal structures. This position offers an exciting opportunity to contribute to complex projects in a fast-paced environment where craftsmanship and attention to detail are valued. Duties Read and interpret blueprints, technical drawings, and fabrication shop drawings to determine specifications and dimensions for metal components. Operate a variety of hand tools, power tools, and machining equipment to cut, shape, and assemble sheet metal and other metal materials. Perform welding using FCAW (Flux-Cored Arc Welding), MIG (Metal Inert Gas), TIG (Tungsten Inert Gas), and SMAW (Shielded Metal Arc Welding) techniques adhering to AWS (American Welding Society) standards. Measure materials accurately using calipers, micrometers, measuring instruments, and shop math to ensure precise fabrication. Use plasma cutters, soldering tools, and other equipment for cutting, joining, or finishing metal parts. Assemble fabricated components into final products or structures following safety protocols and quality standards. Maintain a clean and organized work environment while adhering to safety procedures on construction sites or within fabrication shops. Skills Proven experience in metal fabrication, including sheet metal work and mechanical fabrication processes. Strong knowledge of welding techniques such as FCAW, MIG, TIG, SMAW, and gas metal arc welding. Ability to read and interpret blueprints, technical drawings, and mechanical blueprints accurately. Familiarity with construction site experience and construction-related safety protocols. Proficiency with measuring instruments like calipers, micrometers, shop math, and interpreting technical drawings. Mechanical knowledge related to machining, assembly, ductwork fabrication, and manufacturing processes. Skilled in the use of hand tools, power tools, plasma cutters, soldering equipment, and other fabrication machinery. Understanding of AWS standards for welding quality assurance. Ability to work with various metal materials including steel sheets, ductwork components, and other structural metals. Strong safety awareness with adherence to all safety protocols during fabrication or construction activities.
