This position requires both strong leadership and technical ability in architectural sheet metal fabrication and installation, including flashings, ACM panels, standing seam roofing, fascia, gutters, cladding, inlay gutters, door pans, chimney caps, and related scopes. The ideal candidate is a working leader — someone who can manage a crew, coordinate schedules, communicate with project managers and general contractors, and still roll up their sleeves to ensure top-quality workmanship and timely completion of all jobs. Key Responsibilities

• Leadership & Coordination Oversee daily operations for shop and field crews, ensuring efficiency, quality, and safety. Create and manage weekly schedules for fabrication and installation teams based on project deadlines. Assign daily tasks to installers and fabricators, monitor progress, and ensure completion to specification. Coordinate materials, deliveries, and equipment needs with project management. Communicate with GCs, site supers, and clients to resolve issues and confirm field conditions. Conduct safety meetings and enforce OSHA compliance and company policies.

• Fabrication & Installation Read and interpret architectural and shop drawings; confirm dimensions and details before fabrication. Fabricate flashings, trims, and assemblies using brakes, shears, and hand tools as needed. Oversee and assist in the installation of coping caps, standing seam roofs, wall panels, fascia, gutters, and other custom metal systems. Ensure finished work meets SMACNA standards and aesthetic expectations (tight seams, no oil canning, proper slope, etc.). Train and mentor junior crew members in both technical skills and safety procedures.

• Quality & Operations Maintain accountability for material use, time tracking, and overall job performance. Conduct on-site inspections to confirm quality control and verify details prior to completion. Identify and troubleshoot field issues; provide solutions to maintain schedules and workmanship standards. Work with office staff to prepare daily reports, update job progress, and track labor hours. Maintain clean, organized, and efficient work areas both in the shop and on site. Qualifications Minimum 5+ years experience in architectural sheet metal fabrication and installation, with at least 2 years in a leadership or foreman role. Expert knowledge of SMACNA standards, standing seam systems, ACM panels, and architectural flashing details. Proficient in reading blueprints, shop drawings, and interpreting field measurements. Strong communication and organizational skills; able to manage multiple crews and projects simultaneously. Skilled with aluminum, steel, aluminum, and copper materials (18ga-26 ga). OSHA 10 or 30 certification preferred. Valid driver's license and reliable transportation required. Work Environment Combination of field and shop work across Los Angeles and surrounding areas. Must be able to lift 75 lbs and work safely at heights.

Typical schedule:

Monday-Friday with occasional weekends as required by project timelines. Compensation Competitive hourly rate or salary based on experience. Overtime and performance bonus opportunities. Potential for advancement to Superintendent or Operations Manager role.
