JOB SUMMARY
The Fabricator will manufacture a variety of signage products or components, including metal, plastic, illuminated, and non-illuminated, using tools and raw materials.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Reads blueprints, schematics, or drawings and utilizes such to fabricate partial or entire signage products according to specification and UL requirements. Lays out raw materials. Welds steel and aluminum. Operates folding machines and other metal sheet equipment (rollers, punches, shears, horizontal bandsaws). Installs and wires various types of lighting (incandescent, fluorescent, LED). Sands and preps signs prior to painting. Other tasks as assigned.
Requirements:
QUALIFICATIONS
Must be able to cut bend, and form sign parts that have combined straight, edged, and irregular curves. Must be able to lift or move up to 80 pounds. Basic abilities in mathematics and reading. Ability to read and interpret schematics and drawings. Excellent hand-eye coordination. Ability to work an 8-hour shift, regularly stand, walk, lift, and reach with hands and arms. Ability to use basic tools (drills, grinder, sander, etc.) Knowledge of UL requirements.
