Position Summary Bonbon Electric is seeking an experienced, hardworking, and solutions-oriented PV Solar Installer to help restructure and strengthen our solar department. The ideal candidate is humble, dependable, and motivated to grow with the company. We need someone who works with urgency, takes pride in completing projects efficiently, and can solve field challenges without sacrificing safety or quality. Commercial PV solar experience is strongly preferred. Key Responsibilities Install residential and commercial PV solar systems from start to finish. Read and interpret approved plans, single-line diagrams, equipment specifications, and installation details. Identify engineering or design deficiencies before they cause delays or additional expenses. Provide practical, cost-conscious field recommendations to management and engineering teams. Troubleshoot installation problems and develop effective solutions. Install and commission premium solar equipment, including modules, inverters, microinverters, racking systems, batteries, disconnects, and monitoring equipment. Confirm that installations meet approved plans, manufacturer requirements, electrical codes, and inspection standards. Maintain an organized worksite and ensure projects are completed safely and as quickly as reasonably possible. Evaluate current field procedures and provide constructive feedback regarding employee performance, training needs, productivity, and team structure. Help train and mentor existing installers while supporting a respectful and productive work environment. Communicate clearly with project managers, engineers, inspectors, general contractors, and customers. Ideal Qualifications Ideally 3-6 years of hands-on PV solar installation experience. Commercial PV solar installation experience is strongly preferred. Strong understanding of electrical and solar installation fundamentals. Ability to read plans and identify engineering or design conflicts. Experience working with high-quality solar, battery-storage, inverter, and racking equipment. Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving abilities. Ability to lead by example while remaining humble and respectful. Excellent work ethic with a strong sense of urgency and accountability. Ability to balance speed, quality, safety, and cost control. Valid driver's license and reliable transportation. Relevant electrical, solar, OSHA, manufacturer, or safety certifications are preferred.
