Job Summary We are seeking a dynamic and highly organized Solar Install Manager to lead and oversee large-scale solar photovoltaic (PV) installation projects from inception to completion. This role is vital in ensuring that solar projects are executed efficiently, safely, and within budget, while maintaining the highest standards of quality and compliance. The ideal candidate will possess strong leadership skills, extensive construction management experience, and a deep understanding of electrical systems and project coordination. As a Solar Install Manager, you will drive project success by managing teams, coordinating schedules, reviewing construction drawings, and ensuring adherence to electrical codes and safety standards. This position offers an exciting opportunity to shape sustainable energy solutions while leading a talented team through complex projects. Duties Lead the planning, execution, and completion of solar installation projects, ensuring timely delivery within scope and budget. Manage project schedules using software such as Primavera P6 or Microsoft Project; coordinate construction timelines and milestones. Oversee the review of construction drawings, schematics, and electrical blueprints to ensure accuracy and compliance with NEC (National Electrical Code) and NFPA 70 standards. Coordinate permitting processes during the permitting phase, ensuring all necessary approvals are obtained efficiently. Supervise on-site construction activities, including electrical system installation, wiring, grounding, and system design implementation. Collaborate with engineering teams on system design modifications; ensure electrical systems meet all safety and performance standards. Manage project budgets by tracking costs, reviewing contracts, and controlling expenses; utilize construction estimating tools for accurate forecasting. Lead safety initiatives by enforcing NFPA 70 compliance and conducting regular site inspections; address safety concerns promptly. Facilitate communication among stakeholders including clients, subcontractors, vendors, and internal teams to ensure smooth project flow. Review construction management documentation such as ProCore or Prolog reports; maintain detailed records of project progress and issues. Skills Extensive experience with electrical engineering principles related to solar PV systems; strong knowledge of electrical building codes and schematics reading. Proficiency in project management software including Primavera P6, ProCore, Bluebeam, Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word), and construction scheduling tools. Skilled in managing large-scale electrical projects with a focus on system design, installation coordination, and quality assurance. Deep understanding of the permitting process for solar projects; adept at navigating regulatory requirements during the permitting phase. Strong leadership abilities with experience managing diverse teams on construction sites; excellent time management skills. Ability to review construction drawings thoroughly for accuracy; experience with blueprint reading and schematic interpretation. Knowledge of NFPA 70 (National Electrical Code) standards; commitment to safety protocols during all phases of installation. Experience with contract management including reviewing project contracts and managing scope changes effectively. Familiarity with construction estimating methods for cost management; ability to monitor project budgets closely. Excellent communication skills for coordinating between clients, contractors, vendors, and internal teams to ensure project alignment.
