ABOUT THE POSITION

Charlotte Party Rentals is seeking dependable, safety-conscious, and hardworking individuals to join our Warehouse and Field Operations Team. We are hiring across multiple experience levels

• from entry-level Field Helpers to experienced Senior Tent Installers.

The position involves event setup and breakdown, tent installation, loading and unloading, deliveries, pickups, warehouse organization, digital job documentation, and proper care of rental equipment. Applicants do not need advanced tent-installation experience to apply. We are willing to train reliable entry-level candidates who demonstrate a strong work ethic, good communication, physical readiness, adaptability, and a genuine willingness to learn. Experienced candidates may qualify for a higher position and starting rate based on demonstrated skills and qualifications.

AVAILABLE CAREER LEVELS AND PAY RANGES LEVEL 1

• Field Helper / General Labor ($16.00
• 18.00/hour) Entry-level team member assisting with warehouse preparation, loading, unloading, deliveries, pickups, setups, breakdowns, equipment handling, and jobsite organization. LEVEL 2
• Field & Setup Crew ($18.00
• 20.00/hour) Experienced field team member completing routine deliveries, installations, breakdowns, equipment counts, and event setups with limited supervision. LEVEL 3
• Tent Installer ($20.00
• 22.00/hour) Skilled installer competent in CPR's common tent systems, basic layouts, staking distances, components, tools, and familiar assignments without continuous supervision. LEVEL 4
• Senior Tent Installer ($22.00
• 25.

00/hour) Highly competent installer completing major tent structures with minimal supervision, troubleshooting, selecting components, maintaining productivity, applying safety judgment, and helping train Levels 1-3.

Note for Career placement:

Applicants may be considered for Levels 1-4. Starting position and pay will be determined by verified experience, demonstrated skills, equipment qualifications, communication, safety knowledge, software adaptability, reliability, and ability to meet the standards of the applicable level. Placement is determined by Charlotte Party Rentals and is not based solely on the position or pay level requested by the applicant.

STANDARD WORK SCHEDULE

• Monday through Friday
• 8:00 a.m
• 4:00 p.m.
• 40 paid hours per week
• One 30-minute paid break each workday
• Overtime paid for hours worked over 40 in the established workweek
• Occasional early mornings, extended hours, evenings, or weekends may be required based on event schedules Schedules may vary depending on workload, weather, delivery routes, client needs, and event requirements.

GENERAL RESPONSIBILITIES

Responsibilities will vary according to the employee's assigned career level and demonstrated abilities.

• Load and unload trucks safely and efficiently.
• Move, organize, and protect tables, chairs, tents, staging, dance floors, pipe and drape, lighting, linens, and other rental equipment.
• Assist with or independently complete deliveries, pickups, setups, and breakdowns.
• Install and dismantle event tent systems according to training and assigned career level.
• Read and follow pull sheets, load sheets, component sheets, diagrams, equipment counts, and special job instructions.
• Identify tent tops, poles, stakes, anchors, sidewalls, fittings, hardware, and installation components.
• Use installation tools and anchoring systems properly and safely.
• Set up tables, chairs, sidewalls, staging, dance floors, pipe and drape, lighting, and other event equipment.
• Maintain clean, organized, productive, and safe warehouse and jobsite work areas.
• Protect rental inventory, company vehicles, client property, and venue property.
• Return tools, hardware, and rental equipment to their correct warehouse locations.
• Complete required jobsite checklists, customer signatures, equipment counts, and order updates.
• Capture and submit clear before-and-after photos and videos for every applicable job.
• Report missing equipment, damage, unsafe conditions, delays, client concerns, and installation problems immediately.
• Assist other crew members and perform additional field or warehouse responsibilities as assigned.

TENT-INSTALLATION EXPERIENCE

Depending on the assigned career level, candidates may be trained or evaluated on Pop-Up tents, Economy Frame tents, High Peak Frame tents, basic and advanced Gable End Frame tents, High Peak Pole or Century tents, H2K and X2 Gable End structures, clear-top and connected installations, sidewalls and accessories, and proper staking and anchoring systems. Entry-level applicants are not expected to know all tent systems. Advancement depends on demonstrated competency, safety, efficiency, reliability, and completion of required training.

LOGISTICS AND WORKER SOFTWARE

Consistent use of company-required technology is part of the position.

• Use RentKit and other required logistics and worker software as part of daily responsibilities.
• Review assigned delivery and pickup routes, digital pull sheets, job details, instructions, tasks, and checklists.
• Confirm equipment counts as items are loaded and unloaded.
• Update delivery, pickup, and job-completion statuses accurately and promptly.
• Capture and upload required jobsite photos, videos, customer signatures, and supporting documentation.
• Complete digital checklists and follow required software workflows.
• Learn and adapt to new software, mobile applications, and digital procedures introduced by the company.
• Notify a supervisor promptly when experiencing a device, software, or access problem.

Failure to use required software consistently or accurately may be considered when evaluating job performance, accountability, and eligibility for advancement.

COMMUNICATION REQUIREMENTS

• Strong verbal and written communication skills, primarily in English.
• Ability to understand and follow English-language safety instructions, work orders, pull sheets, jobsite directions, software prompts, and company communications.
• Ability to communicate professionally with supervisors, crew members, clients, venue personnel, and company representatives.
• Ability to ask questions promptly when instructions or job requirements are unclear.
• Ability to report delays, damage, missing equipment, safety concerns, and changes in jobsite conditions promptly.
• Spanish communication skills are preferred as a valuable secondary qualification but are not required.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

• Dependable attendance and reliable transportation to and from the Charlotte warehouse
• Strong verbal and written communication skills in English
• Ability to follow instructions, safety requirements, and company procedures
• Comfort using smartphones, mobile applications, and digital work systems
• Willingness and ability to learn RentKit and other required company software
• Ability to work indoors and outdoors in changing weather conditions
• Ability to stand, walk, bend, reach, lift, carry, push, and pull throughout the workday
• Ability to lift approximately 50 pounds independently and heavier or awkward items with team assistance
• Ability to work safely around trucks, trailers, tools, tents, stakes, anchors, and active installation areas
• A reliable smartphone capable of using required company applications
• Professional, respectful, and team-oriented conduct
• Authorization to work in the United States Previous event rental or tent-installation experience is not required for Level 1 applicants.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

• Previous event rental, tent installation, construction, warehouse, moving, landscaping, delivery, or similar physical-work experience
• Experience using hand tools and installation equipment
• Experience reading work orders, diagrams, equipment lists, or load sheets
• Bilingual communication skills in English and Spanish
• Valid driver's license and acceptable driving record
• Experience driving box trucks or towing trailers
• Forklift training or certification
• Experience operating an Avant loader or similar equipment

LEVEL 4 EQUIPMENT REQUIREMENTS

To qualify as a Level 4 Senior Tent Installer, the applicant must:

• Hold valid forklift operator certification or complete the required certification process.
• Be able to operate the Avant loader safely and competently.
• Receive company authorization before operating the forklift, Avant, company vehicles, or other powered equipment.
• Demonstrate advanced tent-installation knowledge, troubleshooting ability, safety judgment, productivity, and readiness to help train Level 1-3 employees.

Holding a certification or having prior experience does not automatically authorize an employee to operate company equipment.

WORKPLACE RULES

• Employees must clock in only after entering the warehouse and being properly dressed and ready to work. Clocking in from the parking lot is not permitted.
• All hours worked must be recorded accurately. Employees may not perform unrecorded or off-the-clock work.
• Personal phone use is limited to authorized breaks, approved work-related use, or genuine emergencies.
• Proper work boots and required company workwear must be worn in the warehouse and at active jobsites. Sneakers, sandals, and open-toe shoes are not acceptable work footwear.
• Smoking and vaping are permitted only during authorized breaks and in a company-approved area. They are prohibited on client properties, at event venues, in active work areas, and inside company vehicles.
• Employees must follow all safety procedures and report injuries, property damage, equipment damage, incidents, near misses, and unsafe conditions immediately.
• Alcohol, illegal drugs, impairment, harassment, threats, dishonesty, theft, unsafe conduct, and falsification of time or work records are prohibited.
• Employees may not make unauthorized pricing decisions, promises, discounts, schedule commitments, or liability statements to clients.
• Required jobsite documentation and software updates must be completed before an assignment is considered fully completed.

COMPENSATION AND CAREER PLACEMENT

The overall hiring range is $16.00

Starting position and pay will be based on relevant work experience, demonstrated tent-installation skills, component knowledge, work quality and efficiency, safety judgment, communication, reliability, attendance history, driving and equipment qualifications, independent work ability, leadership readiness, software adaptability, and ability to satisfy the standards of the assigned career level. Applicants may be asked to participate in a practical skills assessment before final career-level placement. Pay increases and advancement are not automatic. They are based on consistent performance, demonstrated skills, efficiency, safety, quality, communication, documentation, attendance, software compliance, policy compliance, and increased responsibility.
