Job Description

The Solar Monitoring Technician plays a crucial role in ensuring the optimal performance and efficiency of solar energy systems. Operating within the renewable energy sector, this position involves monitoring, analyzing, and maintaining solar panel arrays and associated equipment to maximize energy production and minimize downtime.
Key Responsibilities:
Monitoring:
Utilize monitoring systems and software to continuously track the performance of solar energy systems, including solar panels, inverters, and associated components.
Analysis:
Analyze data collected from monitoring systems to identify trends, irregularities, and potential issues affecting system performance. Interpret data to make informed decisions regarding system optimization and maintenance.
Troubleshooting:
Diagnose and troubleshoot technical issues related to solar energy systems, including electrical, mechanical, and communication problems. Respond promptly to alarms and alerts to minimize system downtime.
Documentation:
Maintain accurate records of system performance, maintenance activities, and troubleshooting efforts. Generate reports detailing key performance metrics and recommendations for improvement.

Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements, industry standards, and safety protocols governing solar energy systems. Stay informed about industry developments and best practices to uphold quality and efficiency standards.
Qualifications:
High school diploma or equivalent; additional technical education or certifications preferred. Prior experience in solar energy, electrical systems, or related field. Proficiency in using monitoring software and data analysis tools. Strong troubleshooting skills and ability to work independently. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. Attention to detail and commitment to quality. Physical ability to perform maintenance tasks, including climbing ladders and lifting equipment. Knowledge of relevant regulations and safety guidelines.
Job Type:
Full-time Pay:
$20.00 - $26.00 per hour
