Renovation Technician II

Position Summary Local4 is seeking an experienced and detail-oriented Renovation Technician II to perform advanced interior renovation work on residential and light commercial projects. This role requires strong hands-on experience in full bathroom installations, including tile work, waterproofing systems, and fixture integration. The Renovation Technician II is responsible for completing work independently, maintaining high-quality workmanship, and contributing to efficient job site operations. Key Responsibilities Install tile in bathrooms, including floors, walls, and shower areas Complete full shower system installations, including surface preparation, waterproofing, and installation of shower pans or bathtubs Perform accurate layout, cutting, and installation of tile to ensure proper alignment, drainage, and finish quality Complete grout, sealing, and finishing work to a high standard Perform drywall installation, taping, and finishing as needed Install various flooring materials (e.g., LVP, laminate) Complete trim work, door installation, and basic finish carpentry Follow project plans, layouts, and instructions accurately Identify material needs and communicate them to management Maintain clean, organized, and safe job sites Follow company safety guidelines and OSHA best practices Support and guide Laborers and Renovation Technician I team members as needed Qualifications Proven experience installing bathroom tile, including showers and wet areas Demonstrated ability to complete full shower systems, including waterproofing and fixture installation Working knowledge of multiple waterproofing systems and installation methods Strong understanding of proper tile layout, spacing, slope, and drainage principles Hands-on experience with drywall installation and finishing Experience with flooring installation and basic finish carpentry Ability to follow project plans, layouts, and instructions accurately Hands-on proficiency with standard construction tools and tile-specific tools Ability to work independently with minimal supervision Strong attention to detail and commitment to high-quality workmanship Must have a valid driver's license and reliable personal transportation Scope Limitations This role does not include licensed trade work such as plumbing, advanced electrical work, or work requiring state licensing or permits unless supervised by appropriately licensed personnel. Physical Requirements Ability to stand, bend, kneel, and lift up to 75 lbs Ability to work in indoor renovation environments Growth Opportunity This position provides a path toward Lead Renovation Technician or Site Lead roles based on performance, leadership ability, and project ownership.
