8-hour shift | Day shift | Monday-Friday | No nights | No regular weekends

• At Erb's Landscaping, we believe skilled employees do their best work when they have the right equipment, good project information, and a strong team around them. We are looking for an Experienced Hardscape Installer / Paver Technician with at least two years of regular, hands-on professional paver or hardscape installation experience . This is not an entry-level labor position or a dedicated equipment-operator role. You'll work alongside our Lead Hardscaper as a skilled member of the installation team—someone who can complete quality work, understand what needs to happen next, and keep a project moving without constant direction. Many of our projects are supported by a dedicated site-preparation team, allowing our hardscape installers to spend more time focused on installation, craftsmanship, and finish quality .

Key Responsibilities Build & Install:

Install paver patios, walkways, steps, borders, retaining walls, and related hardscape features

Base Preparation:

Grade, compact, and screed hardscape bases to proper elevations and pitch

Grade Control:

Use lasers, grade rods, screed poles, and straightedges to establish and check grades

Finish Work:

Complete paver cutting, edging, polymeric sand, and installation details

Site Preparation:

Assist with drainage, excavation, material placement, and preparation when needed

Equipment Operation:

Operate compactors, saws, hand tools, and other hardscape equipment; skid steer or mini track loader experience is preferred Read the

Stage materials, tools, and equipment and recognize the next productive task without needing constant direction

Quality Control:

Recognize grade, drainage, base, material, and installation concerns before they become expensive rework

Teamwork:

Work productively alongside the Lead Hardscaper and help guide less-experienced team members when appropriate

Professionalism:

Maintain a professional presence around customers, coworkers, and their property

Qualifications & Requirements Experience:

Minimum 2 years of regular, hands-on professional paver or hardscape installation experience

Installation Knowledge:

Working experience with pavers, base preparation, screeding, compaction, retaining walls, steps, grading, or similar hardscape construction

Initiative:

Able to finish one task, understand the project plan, and recognize what needs to happen next

Quality:

Takes pride in clean, accurate craftsmanship and understands the importance of avoiding rework

Equipment:

Skid steer or mini track loader experience is preferred; excavator experience is a plus but not required

Judgment:

Able to work independently while recognizing when a design, grade, drainage, material, or scope question needs to be brought to the Lead Hardscaper or management

Dependability:

Reliable attendance and willingness to perform physical outdoor work in changing weather

Communication:

Able to take direction, communicate concerns early, and work effectively as part of a team You do not need to know every Erb's Landscaping method on day one. We will train an experienced installer on our specific products, equipment, installation standards, job packets, and quality expectations. What we need you to bring is a solid hardscape foundation, craftsmanship, reliability, good judgment, and initiative.
