• preparing attic spaces to receive blown fiberglass insulation which includes placing depth markers, damming around openings, attic accesses, and can lights and installing baffles as needed. Insulating
• Blowing fiberglass insulation into attic spaces resulting in a consistent even depth blanket with no bare or low spots. Insulating may also consist of running the insulation machine, loading material into the hopper, and driving the insulation truck. Duct Sealing
• Applying sealant to all ductwork connected to plenums, boots, units, returns and everything in between. Removing and re-installing duct insulation as needed to get a tight seal. Sealing the inside of returns located under platforms and in wall cavities. Air Sealing
• Applying sealant to openings in the building envelope such as pluming penetrations, around window and door trim, baseboards, etc. Weatherstripping exterior doors and attic accesses. Minor carpentry work to seal furnace and attic doors and cover attic fans as well as attic fan removal and opening frame in. Occasional drywall patching and finishing as needed. Testing
• Techs must be able to set up and perform a blower door and duct leakage test with leakage to the outside.

Techs must also have a good working knowledge of the proper flow rings needed to perform accurate testing as well as a working knowledge of manometer settings and be able to recognize when they are incorrect and how change the manometer to the proper settings as needed. • Remove trash and debris, vacuum carpets, and dust any areas affected by the work being done as you go. Keep your work area as clean as possibly. Do a final clean when the work is completed. Stocking Vehicles
• Stocking trucks with materials needed for the next day and removing all trash from the cab and cargo area of all company trucks each evening. Driver License
• All Energy Techs need to have a valid driver license and may be called upon to drive a company truck to and from the jobsite. Teamwork
• All Techs are expected to work as a team. If one team member finishes their tasks before another, the team member that is fished is expected to go help his teammate in any way possible to get the job done. Customers
• Techs are expected to be kind and courteous to all customers and residents and be respectful of their property. Knowing how to speak with customers is important and knowing when not to speak and refer the customer to a lead person is even more important. Paperwork
• Techs are expected to fill out and turn in final check lists and gas receipts to the lead or the office daily.
