Job Description

Category Schools - Sign Language Interpreter Job Type Contract Immerse yourself in a dynamic educational setting where your expertise in American Sign Language (ASL) can make a lasting difference for students and staff. This contract position offers an exciting opportunity to contribute your skills as a Sign Language Interpreter and ASL educator in a collaborative school environment located near Eubank, KY—centrally positioned about 60 miles south of Lexington and convenient to Somerset, Danville, and Berea. This role is ideal for professionals eager to promote accessible learning for students who are Deaf or Hard of Hearing, while supporting teachers and faculty in fostering an inclusive atmosphere. Out-of-state talent is encouraged—receive guidance on the licensing process for Kentucky! Applicants with a 4.0 EIPA or NIC certification who are prepared to secure Kentucky licensure are strongly considered.
Desired Skills and Qualifications:
Proficiency in American Sign Language and interpreting within educational settings Experience as a Sign Language Interpreter or teaching ASL 4.0 EIPA or NIC certification (or in process of obtaining Kentucky license) Strong communication, adaptability, and collaborative spirit Ability to support instruction for students of varying ages and abilities
