$100,000 - $125,000 / year Position Overview The Assistant General Manager is a senior leadership role responsible for supporting the General Manager in overseeing all aspects of restaurant operations, while serving as a visible and active leader on the floor. This position requires a strong balance of hospitality, operational excellence, and business acumen, with the ability to lead teams, drive performance, and ensure a consistently elevated guest experience. The Assistant General Manager operates as a true extension of the General Manager, taking ownership of daily operations, supporting all departments, and ensuring alignment with the overall vision and standards of the restaurant. This role is both strategic and hands-on, with the expectation to lead by example, hold teams accountable, and create a culture rooted in hospitality, consistency, and performance. Leadership & Team Development Lead, coach, and develop all front-of-house team members, fostering a culture of accountability, professionalism, and growth Act as a mentor and resource for department leads, including Hosts, Servers, and Bar leadership Support hiring, onboarding, training, and performance management across all positions Maintain a strong presence on the floor, leading service and setting the tone for the team Guest Experience & Service Standards Drive an exceptional, consistent guest experience by upholding and enforcing all service standards Actively engage with guests, building relationships and ensuring satisfaction throughout their visit Handle guest concerns and escalations with confidence, urgency, and professionalism Continuously look for opportunities to elevate the overall dining experience Operational Oversight Oversee daily operations of the restaurant, ensuring smooth and efficient service across all departments Manage floor flow, staffing levels, and service pacing in real time Ensure all systems, procedures, and standards are executed consistently Support opening and closing operations, including oversight of all service areas Financial & Business Performance Assist in managing labor, scheduling, and cost controls to meet business goals Monitor sales performance, productivity, and operational metrics Support budget adherence and identify opportunities to improve profitability Ensure proper handling of cash, comps, and discounts in alignment with company standards Communication & Collaboration Partner closely with the General Manager and leadership team to align on goals, priorities, and performance Maintain clear and consistent communication with all departments, including kitchen and bar Lead pre-shift meetings and ongoing team communication to ensure alignment and preparedness Compliance & Standards Ensure adherence to all health, safety, and regulatory requirements Maintain a clean, organized, and professional environment throughout the restaurant Uphold company policies, procedures, and expectations at all times
