Job Description
Job Overview We are seeking a passionate and dedicated Assistant Teacher to join our vibrant educational team! In this role, you will play a vital part in supporting classroom activities, fostering a positive learning environment, and assisting lead teachers in delivering engaging, developmentally appropriate instruction. This position offers an exciting opportunity to work closely with children across various age groups, including preschool and early childhood settings, while gaining valuable experience in special education and classroom management. The ideal candidate will be energetic, compassionate, and eager to make a meaningful difference in the lives of young learners. Full time (9:00-5:00) Part Time(2:00- 6:00) Duties Assist lead teachers in implementing curriculum plans aligned with early childhood education standards, including literacy, math, and social-emotional learning. Support children's individual needs by working with students with developmental disabilities, autism, or other special needs, ensuring inclusive classroom participation. Help create a nurturing environment by managing classroom behavior and supporting positive behavior management strategies. Engage children in age-appropriate activities such as storytime, arts and crafts, play-based learning, and sensory activities. Maintain a safe and clean classroom environment, adhering to all health and safety regulations related to childcare and preschool settings. Requirements Prior experience working with children in early childhood or preschool environments is highly preferred. Knowledge of childhood development principles and curriculum development techniques. Experience working with individuals with disabilities, including autism or developmental delays. Familiarity with classroom management strategies and behavior management techniques. Ability to communicate effectively with children, parents, and team members; strong interpersonal skills are essential. Certification or training in Deaf education or American Sign Language is a plus. Demonstrated commitment to inclusive education practices and supporting diverse learners.
