Auto Body Technician

Blevins Auto Body is looking for skilled Auto Body Technicians to join our Collision Department! We're looking for someone who works well with others, can complete all types of repairs on all makes and models, and is hard working and reliable. The Auto Body Technician is a skilled craftsman with a thorough understanding of all phases of light to heavy collision repair. All repairs are to be completed to the point of 'ready for paint' prior to delivering the vehicle to the paint department. We operate on a Monday-Thursday schedule so our employees are able to enjoy 3-day weekends.

Autobody Repair Technician Responsibilities:

Performs repairs as outlined with efficiency and accuracy Ability to perform collision repairs, panel bonding, structural damage, panel replacement, and welding on all vehicles Refit new parts such as bumpers, fenders, grills, moldings, and other bolt-on and welded items Perform small to heavy repair, finishing and priming jobs Apply undercoating, gravel guard, seam sealer, and lubricants as the need presents itself or as listed on the RO Disassemble vehicles to prep for repairs. Reassemble and perform final body alignments and adjustments prior to the vehicle being delivered Complete all repairs in a manner in which the repaired areas are restored to the original manufacturer's specifications (including door, hood and deck alignments, chassis and frame measurements, and welded on unibody parts) Check all parts for accuracy before starting the repair and notify the parts manager of any incorrect parts or other discrepancies Examines the vehicle to determine if additional safety or service work is required

Auto Body Repair Technician Qualifications:

Prior collision experience preferred Valid driver's license Technician must supply their own tools Strong mechanical background knowledge Complete understanding of all facets of light to heavy automobile collision repair Ability to read, understand, and perform written instructions accurately and consistently Ability to work independently and with others with a minimum of supervision
