Automotive Maintenance Technician - Watertown NY

Davidson Auto Group has immediate openings for an Automotive Maintenance Technician/Mechanic with a NYS Inspector's License to join our busy service department! Pay Range:

$19•$24, Hourly or Flat Rate, depending on experience

Hours:

7:30am•5:30pm, Monday•

Friday Responsibilities:

Perform standard vehicle maintenance and repairs to manufacturer standards. Continuously learns new technical information and techniques in formal training sessions in order to stay up to date with rapidly changing automotive technology. Keeps advisor aware of mechanical repair problems as they occur. Other duties may be assigned as needed.

Required Skills:

Valid New York State Inspectors License. General maintenance. Brake repair. Tires (Mount and balance, repair, road force balance). Alignments. Suspension diagnosis and repair. Exhaust repair. Valid Driver's License required.

Preferred Skills:

Welding training/experience. ASE certifications.

Physical Requirements:

The ability to lift and carry up to 50 pounds. The ability to occasionally perform repetitive motion tasks such as typing on a computer, writing on documents, using common hand tools. The ability to regularly traverse areas throughout the dealership. The ability to stand for long periods of time. The ability to stoop, kneel, or crouch.
