This position is located at our Corporate Office in East Jordan, Michigan. SUMMARY Oversees the development, implementation, administration, and maintenance of benefits programs and policies related to all aspects of human resources activities.ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
include the following. Other duties may be assigned. Manages benefits programs such as life, health, dental, vision, FSA, HSA, disability insurances, retirement plans, sick leave, leave of absence, employee assistance program, and any other auxiliary programs. Assists HR staff with employee benefit inquiries and resolves benefits-related issues. Evaluates existing benefits programs against peer organizations to determine competitiveness, trends and developments. Leads annual renewals and open enrollment strategy end-to-end, including plan design, contribution modeling, and recommendations Leads benefit implementations projects including the setup and testing of electronic data file feeds (e.g., eligibility, payroll, vendor integrations) ensuring data integrity, system compatibility and time execution across internal system and external partners Maintains employee benefits data and automated human resources information systems. Coordinates transfer of data to external vendors, plan providers, vendors, auditors, and consultants for services, premiums, and plan administration. Maintains knowledge of legal requirements and government reporting regulations affecting human resources functions and ensures policies, procedures, and reporting are in compliance as related to benefits. Works with Broker to study best practices and plans for all benefits. Compiles benefits summaries and gathers data to help EJ compare our benefits with other companies. Manages open enrollment period to ensure all legal requirements are met, benefits changes are accurate, and benefit programs are properly communicated. Works with human resources staff in the preparation of open enrollment materials and presentations. Works with retirement plan administration, compliance issues, and individual employee retirements. Plans and prepares benefits documentation for new employee orientation and onboarding to foster positive employee relations toward company goals. Analyzes benefits experience for cost-control and risk-assessment factors and recommends changes where needed. Oversees plan documentation governance, Form 5500 coordination, nondiscrimination testing, and audit readiness Promotes safety awareness, accident prevention and employee involvement in regard to a safe work environment. Ensures employees have an understanding of the safety expectations of the organization. Promotes the company culture, the mission and vision, and the core values of the company. Other projects and duties as directed by the employee's supervisor.QUALIFICATIONS

Bachelor's Degree (B. A.) in Human Resources, Finance, Business Administration, or a related discipline and four years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.REQUIRED SKILLS AND ABILITES

Proficiency with or the ability to quickly learn the organizations HRIS Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to explain complex topics clearly. Strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and ability to manage multiple priorities. Strong financial acumen with the ability to analyze data, interpret trends, and support decision-making. High degree of discretion and professionalism when handling confidential and sensitive information.CERTIFICATES, LICENSES, REGISTRATIONS
Certified Employee Benefits Specialist (CEBS) a plus.PHYSICAL DEMANDS
