Job Title:

Demolition Supervisor Job Description This role oversees day-to-day demolition operations on commercial, industrial, and government construction projects, ensuring all work is completed safely, efficiently, and in alignment with project schedules and specifications. The Demolition Supervisor leads field crews, coordinates subcontractors and resources, and serves as the primary on-site point of contact for project-related activities and communication. Responsibilities Supervise daily demolition activities on commercial, industrial, and government construction projects, with a focus on interior and structural demolition. Coordinate field crews, subcontractors, equipment, and material deliveries to ensure smooth and efficient site operations. Lead daily safety meetings and enforce compliance with OSHA regulations and site-specific safety requirements. Develop, implement, and enforce Job Hazard Analyses (JHAs) and site safety plans for all demolition activities. Monitor project schedules, manpower, and productivity to ensure milestones and deadlines are consistently met. Conduct regular site walks to identify potential safety, quality, or logistical issues and take proactive corrective action. Coordinate closely with project managers, superintendents, and clients to communicate project progress and address field concerns. Maintain accurate daily reports, manpower logs, and project documentation, including work performed and site conditions. Verify that proper demolition methods are being followed while protecting existing structures, utilities, and building systems. Ensure debris removal, housekeeping, and environmental compliance requirements are met throughout the project lifecycle. Manage and resolve field issues in real time to minimize project delays and disruptions. Oversee and direct a team of 46 laborers performing interior demolition work. Essential Skills At least 5 years of demolition, construction, or related field supervision experience. Proven experience leading crews on interior and/or structural demolition projects. Strong understanding of demolition methods, equipment, and construction site safety practices. Ability to read and interpret construction drawings and project specifications. Experience coordinating multiple trades and subcontractors on active construction sites. Proficiency with daily reporting and project documentation for construction projects. Demonstrated capability to manage commercial interior demolition work. Experience with tenant improvement and renovation projects. Experience working on government or federally regulated projects. Hands-on experience with concrete cutting, selective demolition, and structural demolition. Familiarity with Procore or similar construction management software. Additional Skills & Qualifications Strong leadership skills with the ability to direct and motivate field crews in a fast-paced environment. Excellent communication skills for coordinating with project teams and clients on site. Detail-oriented approach to safety planning, documentation, and quality control. Ability to identify and resolve field issues quickly while maintaining project momentum. Organizational skills to manage multiple tasks, schedules, and stakeholders simultaneously. The role involves daily presence on site, participation in safety meetings, and frequent site walks in areas where demolition, debris removal, and material handling are ongoing. The environment is hands-on, with regular interaction with construction equipment, tools, and building systems, and requires adherence to strict safety and environmental compliance standards. Job Type & Location This is a Contract position based out of Lakewood, CO. Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $35.00 - $40.00/hr. Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors.
