W. Wells Millwork is a commercial architectural millwork and custom cabinetry contractor serving projects throughout the greater Seattle area. We are looking for a full-time Project Manager to join our team. This is a great opportunity for someone early in their project management career who is organized, motivated, and interested in developing their skills within the commercial construction industry. We are willing to train the right person. Direct architectural millwork experience is not required. Candidates with general construction, project coordination, estimating, engineering, manufacturing, or other related experience are encouraged to apply. Responsibilities The Project Manager will work with experienced team members and gradually take responsibility for managing commercial construction projects from award through completion.
Responsibilities may include:
Coordinate project schedules, priorities, and deadlines Communicate with general contractors, customers, vendors, subcontractors, and internal departments Review architectural drawings, specifications, and project requirements Assist with RFIs, submittals, material samples, and other project documentation Coordinate engineering, purchasing, production, delivery, and installation activities Request and review vendor and subcontractor pricing Assist with purchasing and material procurement Track project changes and assist with preparation of change orders Attend project meetings and follow up on action items Assist with project cost tracking and progress billing Maintain accurate project information within company software systems Help identify schedule, scope, or coordination issues before they impact the project Coordinate punch-list and project closeout activities As experience grows, the successful candidate will take on greater responsibility and independently manage larger and more complex projects. Qualifications We are looking for someone who is: Highly organized and detail oriented Dependable and able to follow through on commitments Motivated to learn and take on additional responsibility Comfortable managing multiple priorities Able to communicate professionally by phone, email, and in person Comfortable working with customers, vendors, subcontractors, and coworkers Able to solve problems and ask questions when clarification is needed Comfortable learning new software and business systems Able to work both independently and as part of a team Helpful Experience Previous experience in any of the following areas is beneficial but not required: Construction project coordination or project management Commercial construction Estimating Construction administration Engineering or drafting Purchasing or procurement Manufacturing or fabrication Architectural drawings and specifications Scheduling Progress billing ERP, MRP, or project management software Cabinetry, woodworking, architectural millwork, or other specialty trades We place significant value on aptitude, organization, communication, and willingness to learn . A candidate does not need to know every aspect of commercial construction or architectural millwork on day one.
