Real Estate Owned (REO) Portfolio Manager

Job Description

Seeking a Real Estate Owned (REO) Portfolio Manager to act as a dynamic and resourceful experienced professional responsible for end-to-end portfolio management, analyzing and communicating the benefits and risks, acquiring properties from investors, maximizing returns, and selling properties to buyers. This role demands operational acumen, tech-forward orientation and excellent communication skills. All qualified applicants are encouraged to apply.
Responsivities:
Oversee the daily operations and strategic management of the REO portfolio, including property acquisitions and dispositions, valuations, inspections, repairs, and the development of efficient, scalable, technology-driven processes aligned with investment objectives. Manage third-party vendors and industry relationships, including negotiations, contracts, SLAs, and timely closings, while partnering with iBuyers, real estate networks, valuation providers, title companies, and REO service providers to ensure quality, Develop and manage REO performance and risk reporting, including KPIs, KRIs, Power BI dashboards, executive reporting, and detailed analysis of property conditions, repairs, valuations, financial performance, and forecasted outcomes. Conduct financial analysis, due diligence, and market research to evaluate acquisition opportunities and inform valuation and marketing strategies, while identifying and mitigating risks and partnering with Risk, Legal, and Finance teams to ensure regulatory compliance and effective governance.
Requirements:
Bachelor's degree in Finance, Real Estate, Business or a related field. Minimum 5 years of experience in real estate, mortgage servicing, loss mitigation, or a related field. Proven experience in managing REO properties. Strong understanding of the real estate transaction lifecycle, from acquisition to disposition. Experience with real estate valuation and financial modeling. Familiar with the Freddie Mac auction process is a plus. Proven ability to implement process and technology improvements. Demonstrated achievement of operational efficiency and loss reduction targets.
