Overview This is a role for someone who leads by example steady under pressure, dependable without being told twice, and skilled at de-escalating tense moments before they become bigger problems. As Residential House Manager, you'll be the anchor of the home: the person residents and staff count on to keep things running safely, fairly, and on schedule. If you take direction well, hold yourself accountable, and know how to read a room and calm it down when needed, we want to talk to you. This isn't a role for someone looking to coast. It's for someone who takes ownership of their shift, follows through without needing to be micromanaged, and treats the residents in their care with respect and professionalism every time. Schedule This is a part-time role with a guaranteed minimum of 20 hours per week. Availability is needed across a mix of weekday and weekend shifts:

Sunday-Thursday:

2:00 PM - 10:30

PM Friday-Saturday:

4:00 PM - 12:30 AM Candidates must be flexible to work within this schedule, which will include at least one weekend day. What You'll Do Oversee day-to-day operations of the residence, ensuring a safe, clean, and structured environment Supervise and support house staff, holding the team accountable to high standards Support residents with activities of daily living (ADLs) as needed, promoting independence and healthy routines De-escalate conflicts or tense situations calmly and professionally, using sound judgment on when to involve clinical or leadership staff Enforce house rules and program expectations consistently and fairly Coordinate house schedules, including chores, curfews, appointments, and house meetings Communicate clearly and promptly with clinical and administrative staff regarding resident needs, incidents, or concerns Manage inventory of household supplies and maintain adequate stock levels Maintain accurate documentation and shift logs Respond decisively to issues that arise during your shift, following established protocols and escalation procedures What We're Looking For Someone dependable and accountable you show up, follow through, and don't need to be chased down Strong de-escalation and conflict resolution skills; you stay calm and clear-headed under pressure Comfortable taking direction and following established protocols and procedures Previous experience in behavioral health, residential/group home, security, hospitality, or a similar structured environment Experience supporting individuals with activities of daily living (ADLs) a plus Clear, confident communication skills with residents, staff, and leadership alike Sound judgment and the ability to make good decisions in unpredictable moments Availability within the schedule outlined above Experience working with individuals in recovery a plus What We Offer Guaranteed minimum of 20 hours per week The chance to make a real, tangible difference in someone's recovery journey this role matters more than the hours on the schedule suggest Location Alexandria, VA (in-person; commute to this location required)
