This role is responsible for organizing shipment schedules, coordinating drivers and outside carriers, preparing shipping documentation, maintaining accurate records, supporting warehouse organization, and ensuring deliveries leave on time and complete. The ideal candidate is highly organized, comfortable managing multiple priorities, and experienced with shipping, receiving, bills of lading, truck scheduling, warehouse operations, and employee training.

Temp-to-Hire What You'll Be Doing Develop weekly shipping plans and communicate priorities and staffing needs to the warehouse team. Organize and schedule outbound trucking and driver activity based on current job delivery schedules. Plan deliveries several days in advance to ensure trucks, drivers, materials, and paperwork are ready. Monitor production and shipping schedule updates to make sure all deliveries are accurately captured. Schedule and coordinate shipping kick-off meetings for upcoming jobs. Obtain pricing for outside or hired trucking services when needed. Coordinate approvals for outside carrier costs before scheduling loads. Attend weekly production meetings and review upcoming delivery requirements with key team members. Resolve shipment, schedule, and delivery questions before planned ship dates. Coordinate customer and project pickups through the master schedule. Maximize truck utilization by considering current routes, truck availability, and delivery locations. Prepare bills of lading and obtain required approvals before trucks depart. Verify shipment lists, pallet counts, tracking information, and delivery documentation for accuracy. Maintain signed BOLs and reconcile completed deliveries against the master schedule. Confirm all scheduled materials and tracking numbers have shipped as planned. Maintain organized and accurate shipping records. Coordinate daily warehouse activities to support a clean, safe, and efficient work environment. Communicate with installers regarding delivery times, jobsite locations, access points, and special delivery instructions. Train warehouse employees on shipping, receiving, documentation, safety, and work procedures. Maintain training documentation and support consistent processes across the warehouse team. Assist with loading, unloading, staging, organizing, and moving materials as needed. Support general warehouse and shipping operations during high-volume periods. Perform additional shipping, receiving, warehouse, or operational duties as assigned. What We're Looking For 1-2+ years of shipping and receiving experience required. Previous lead or supervisory experience strongly preferred. Experience coordinating trucks, drivers, deliveries, or freight. Hands-on experience preparing and maintaining bills of lading . Strong understanding of shipping documentation and recordkeeping. Experience working from production, project, or delivery schedules. Strong planning and organizational skills. Ability to manage multiple priorities and make adjustments as schedules change. Comfortable communicating with project managers, drivers, installers, warehouse employees, and vendors. Proficiency with Microsoft Word and Excel . Strong math, communication, listening, and problem-solving skills. Dependable attendance and punctuality. Strong attention to detail. Valid driver's license and good driving record. Ability to work effectively in a deadline-driven environment. Physical Requirements Ability to stand and walk on concrete for extended periods, including shifts exceeding 8 hours. Ability to lift, push, pull, and move heavy materials. Frequent bending, reaching, stretching, twisting, and repetitive movement. Manual hand dexterity sufficient to handle tools, materials, and shipping paperwork. Ability to work in an industrial or warehouse environment that may include dust, noise, fumes, and odors. Ability to wear required personal protective equipment when necessary.
