Automotive Service Advisor for our NEW Lafayette location. Let's talk pay: Hourly position / Spiffs / and potential weekly bonus plan for the right candidates. 5 Days work week - Monday, Friday and Saturday are required work days. Full Benefits package #1 Team in our Region - You will be working for the Best of the Best We are seeking a dynamic and customer-focused Service Advisor to join our automotive service team. In this vital role, you will serve as the primary point of contact for customers seeking vehicle maintenance and repair services. Your enthusiasm and mechanical knowledge will help guide clients through their service experience, ensuring clarity, transparency, and satisfaction. You will coordinate between customers and technicians, accurately estimate repairs, and promote additional services to enhance vehicle performance and safety. Your proactive approach will drive customer loyalty and contribute to the overall success of our dealership. Duties Greet customers warmly and listen attentively to understand their vehicle concerns and service needs Prepare detailed repair estimates using estimating software, clearly explaining scope of work and costs Communicate effectively with service technicians regarding diagnostics, repairs, and timelines Upsell appropriate maintenance services such as oil changes, tire rotations, brake repairs, suspension work, transmissions, diesel engine repairs, shocks & struts, air brake systems, and other automotive diagnostics Manage service write-ups accurately while maintaining thorough documentation of customer interactions and vehicle histories Coordinate scheduling of appointments to optimize workflow and customer convenience Handle cash transactions professionally and ensure accurate processing of payments Follow up with customers post-service to ensure satisfaction and promote future business opportunities Qualifications Proven experience as a Service Advisor or in auto service management within a dealership or automotive repair environment Strong mechanical knowledge with familiarity in automotive diagnostics, collision repair, transmissions, oil changes, tire service, suspension systems, brake repair, diesel engines, shocks & struts, air brake systems, and other automotive repairs Proficiency with estimating software and computer-aided vehicle damage estimating tools Excellent customer service skills with the ability to communicate technical information clearly and professionally Experience in auto estimating, service writing, sales techniques including upselling additional services Dealership experience preferred but not required; automotive technician experience is a plus Valid driver's license with a clean driving record Ability to handle cash transactions accurately while maintaining a professional demeanor Join us to be part of a vibrant team dedicated to delivering exceptional automotive care!
