Job Description
The organization offers a 30-week part-time Sign Language Interpreter role in or near New Oxford, Pennsylvania. The position provides competitive compensation, exceptional benefits, and the chance to make a meaningful impact.
Key Responsibilities:
Interpret in academic and school settings, supporting ASL communication for students and staff Collaborate with educational team to facilitate effective communication during instructional activities Ensure accurate and timely interpretation during classroom and extracurricular activities Support students' academic success through precise ASL interpretation Maintain professional behavior and comply with all school and licensing requirements
Qualifications:
Relevant educational background in Sign Language or related fields EIPA 3.5 or higher Valid license in Sign Language Interpretation Minimum 1 year of interpreting experience in school settings Proficient in American Sign Language (ASL) Must have a resume and license demonstrating EIPA 3.5 or higher Ability to work in-person at New Oxford High School Strong communication and interpersonal skills Ability to support academic programming and collaborate with educational staff Must be available for part-time hours (16 hours/week), days shift, including Mondays and Fridays preferred but flexible to other two days
