Job Description

Job Summary Join our early childhood education team as a Child Care Assistant Teacher! In this role, you will support the development and well-being of young children by assisting lead teachers in creating a safe, nurturing, and engaging classroom environment. Your enthusiasm and dedication will help foster early childhood growth, promote positive behavior, and ensure each child's individual needs are met. This paid position offers an exciting opportunity to be a difference maker on children's lives while gaining valuable experience in early childhood education. Duties Support classroom activities that promote childhood development, including play-based learning and structured lessons. Assist with supervising children during daily routines such as mealtime, nap time, outdoor play, and transitions. Implement child supervision strategies to ensure safety and well-being at all times. Help maintain a clean, organized classroom environment that encourages exploration and learning. Communicate effectively with parents regarding their child's progress, behaviors, and daily experiences. Follow all health and safety protocols, including pediatric first aid and CPR procedures when necessary. Support teachers in managing classroom behavior through positive reinforcement and behavior management techniques. Experience Prior experience working with children in daycare, preschool, or childcare settings is preferred. Knowledge of childhood development principles and early childhood education best practices. Familiarity with classroom management techniques and behavior management strategies. Certification in first aid, CPR, and pediatric first aid is highly desirable. Previous nannying or babysitting experience that demonstrates responsibility and caregiving skills is beneficial. Strong communication skills for parent interactions and teamwork within the classroom environment. Pay:
$16.00 - $18.00 per hour
