Job Description
Position Summary The Childcare Teacher is responsible for providing a safe, nurturing, and developmentally appropriate learning environment for children in accordance with state licensing regulations and the standards of a 5-star licensed childcare program. The teacher will plan and implement daily activities, supervise children at all times, maintain positive communication with families, and support the social, emotional, physical, and cognitive development of each child. Essential Duties and ResponsibilitiesClassroom Management Maintain a safe, clean, organized, and engaging classroom environment. Supervise children at all times, ensuring their safety and well-being. Implement positive behavior management techniques consistent with center policies. Maintain appropriate classroom ratios and active supervision practices. Curriculum & Instruction Plan and implement age-appropriate lesson plans and activities aligned with approved curriculum standards. Support children's development in language, literacy, math, science, social studies, art, music, and physical development. Adapt teaching methods to meet the individual needs of children. Conduct ongoing observations and assessments of children's progress. Health & Safety Follow all state licensing regulations, sanitation procedures, and health policies. Maintain proper handwashing, diapering, toileting, and food service procedures. Report accidents, injuries, or unusual incidents immediately to administration and parents as required. Participate in emergency drills and follow emergency procedures. Family Communication Maintain professional and positive relationships with parents and families. Communicate regularly regarding children's progress, behavior, and daily activities. Ensure confidentiality of children, families, and center information. Professionalism Arrive on time and maintain dependable attendance. Dress professionally and appropriately for a childcare setting. Participate in required trainings, staff meetings, and professional development. Work cooperatively with co-workers and administration to maintain a positive team environment.
Pay:
$11.50 - $20.00 per hour Expected hours: 20.0 - 40.0 per week
