Rite of Passage Team is hiring for a Full -Time Special Education Teacher at The Tuscaloosa Academy for Growth and Change in Tuscaloosa, Alabama ✨ TAGC is a secure residential girls' program for at-risk female youth, through our trained programming for staff, TAGC promotes a normalized high school experience, offers a safe environment and provides opportunities for positive change, as well as providing the unlimited potential for achievement and growth for students and staff. Our campus features residential student dormitories, on-site school and library, medical and an outdoor recreation area. We welcome ALL who are passionate about making a difference! Pay :
$72,000 What you will do: A Full-Time Special Education Teacher will work primarily with students in an educational setting delivering a curriculum of Target Teaching methodologies. As a teacher, you will track student attendance, maintain student grades, prepare lesson plans, and assist as needed in the classroom setting. With proven and efficient school policies and procedures, the Special Education Teacher will respond to the needs of students who have a variety of ability levels.
To be considered you should:
Possess a minimum of a Bachelor's Degree ~ Must Have an active teacher's certification in Special Education ~ Be at least 21 years of age ~ Be able to pass a criminal background check, drug, physical, and TB test ~ Be able to pass a search of the child and adult abuse central registry ~ Must meet the requirements to become an ROP eligible driver, including having a valid Driver's License Apply today and Make a Difference in the Lives of Youth!
