Job Description

Key Qualifications:
Valid teaching certification in Special Education or eligibility for certification Previous experience working as a Special Education Teacher in a school setting highly preferred Strong knowledge of IEP development and implementation Ability to adapt teaching methods and materials to meet individual student needs Excellent communication skills to work effectively with students, parents, and multidisciplinary teams Passion for creating an equitable and safe classroom where all students feel valued
Primary Responsibilities:
Design and deliver engaging lessons tailored to a variety of learning abilities and needs Develop, review, and implement Individualized Education Programs (IEPs) in accordance with district and state guidelines Use assessment data to inform instruction and document student progress Collaborate closely with general education teachers, administrators, therapists, and parents to support student achievement Foster a supportive, inclusive classroom culture that encourages growth, self-advocacy, and independence Participate in required meetings, trainings, and professional development to maintain best practices Experience a supportive environment where your expertise makes an impact on students' lives every day.
