Job Description

Step into an impactful role supporting students as a Special Education Teacher for the 20262027 school year. This full-time, contract opportunity offers a chance to make a meaningful difference at the elementary level, working directly onsite in a vibrant school environment. You'll help learners reach their full potential, utilizing your experience and passion for special education in a supportive and inclusive setting.
Your key qualifications:
Active Louisiana Educator Certificate (required) Preferably hold the SPED Educator Certificate; candidates with Elementary 1-5 Certification are also encouraged to apply Adaptability and comfort working with a variety of special education settings and student needs Commitment to fostering a positive, encouraging learning environment Strong communication and collaboration skills with teachers, staff, and families Your primary responsibilities: Deliver high-quality special education support and instruction following IEP guidelines Collaborate with educators, related service providers, and administrators to develop educational plans tailored to individual student needs Monitor student progress and implement interventions as necessary Create and maintain a safe, engaging classroom environment Communicate regularly with families regarding student goals and progress Maintain accurate records and documentation in compliance with state and federal requirements This role offers a full-time schedule (35 hours per week) and the rewarding experience of helping students thrive in their educational journey.
