What You'll Bring:

Valid Louisiana Educator Certificate (SPED endorsement preferred; Elementary 1-5 Certificate also considered) Experience working with elementary-age students in a special education environment Ability to design and implement individualized education plans (IEPs) Strong communication skills for collaborating with administrators, other educators, parents, and support staff Commitment to fostering an inclusive classroom atmosphere Keen organizational skills and adaptability to meet dynamic classroom needs

What You'll Do:

Deliver instruction and support in a self-contained classroom for elementary school students with special needs Create, monitor, and update IEPs to ensure each student receives targeted assistance Develop lesson plans tailored to individual learning styles and abilities Maintain accurate records and communicate progress with parents and multidisciplinary teams Adapt teaching methods to suit behavioral, emotional, or academic challenges Collaborate with school staff to enhance the delivery of special education services In addition to the rewarding nature of the position, youll earn between $37 and $41 per hour on a W2 contract and enjoy access to comprehensive health insurance.
