Special Education Teacher - Williamstown, MA

Job Description

Make a meaningful impact as a Special Education Teacher providing dedicated support in substantially separate classrooms for K-1st and 3rd-5th grade students with significant cognitive and physical disabilities. This is a full-time, onsite contract opportunity near Williamstown, MA, within a supportive educational environment open to travel candidates. Students in these settings require highly individualized approaches, some are non-verbal, on the autism spectrum, and may receive support from Registered Behavior Technicians (RBTs). Youll be working closely with a collaborative team to ensure each students unique learning and care needs are metincluding providing toileting support and implementing specialized instruction.
Desired Skills & Experience:
Valid Special Education teaching certification Experience working in substantially separate or self-contained classroom settings, preferably with cognitive and physical disabilities Familiarity with students who are non-verbal and on the autism spectrum Strong applied behavior analysis (ABA) skills and experience with specially designed instruction are preferred Ability to support students with significant disabilities and provide toileting assistance as needed Commitment to individualized instruction and collaborative teamwork
Role Responsibilities:
Deliver individualized special education instruction in accordance with IEPs and student needs Collaborate with paraprofessionals, RBTs, therapists, and other educators Create and maintain an inclusive, supportive, and safe classroom environment Support students personal care needs, including toileting Track student progress, document outcomes, and communicate with families and the educational team Participate in ongoing professional development This contract role offers the chance to work exclusively onsite, making a real difference for students requiring intensive support.
