Category Schools - Teacher of the Deaf / Hard of Hearing Job Type Contract Inspire growth and communication as a Teacher of the Deaf/Hard of Hearing working with a supportive school team near beautiful Eagle, NE. This contract opportunity focuses on serving early childhood students (birth to age 5) within a dynamic educational setting, providing essential support and instruction to help each young learner thrive. Currently accepting both full-time and part-time applicants, this role offers you the chance to truly impact the lives of children in their most formative years. Schedules for part-time positions are flexible within a range of 15 to 25 hours a week. This is an onsite-only role, placing you directly in the heart of the learning environment.
Qualifications:
Valid certification as a Teacher of the Deaf/Hard of Hearing or qualifying credentials Demonstrated experience or specialized training with early childhood (birth-5 years) populations Strong communication and collaboration skills for working with children, families, and multidisciplinary teams Ability to develop and implement Individualized Education Programs (IEPs) Passion for empowering children with hearing differences to reach their full potential
Responsibilities:
Develop and deliver individualized instruction for students who are deaf or hard of hearing Monitor and document student progress, adjusting strategies as appropriate Collaborate closely with parents, therapists, and school staff to support comprehensive educational outcomes Foster an inclusive, accessible classroom atmosphere Serve as a knowledgeable resource for hearing assistive technology and language development This rewarding assignment starts as soon as possible and runs through May 20, 2027, providing a unique opportunity to watch your students learn and grow over time.
