JOB EXPECTATIONS

Demonstrate knowledge and understanding of the learner Demonstrate the ability to work with students with special needs Demonstrates the ability to work collaboratively with regular education teachers Demonstrate the ability to provide instruction in a co-teaching learning environment Be able to develop an appropriate learning environment with effective classroom management Be able to communicate effectively Communicates effectively with student stakeholders Be able to use effective instructional methods Demonstrate ability to organize and plan the instructional program Demonstrate skills in evaluating the instructional program and student progress Possess effective interpersonal skills Demonstrate willingness to grow professionally Demonstrate knowledge of elementary subject areas Special Education case management Be able to schedule meetings, write IEPs, and appropriatly document progress towards IEP goals Any other duties as assigned by the Principal/Supervisor

QUALIFICATIONS

Minimum of Bachelor's degree and Tennessee teaching license with appropriate endorsement required. Teaching experience preferred. Case Management Experience preferred. Requires the Elementary School Special Education endorsement. Salary paid in accordance with the Teacher Salary Schedule.
