This position works closely with students with Autism or related disabilities, many of whom communicate in unique ways and may present challenging behaviors, including aggression. Key Qualifications:

Associates Degree, ParaPro assessment score of 450+, or at least 48 semester credit hours (must meet at least one district requirement) Classroom experience working directly with students (required) Familiarity interpreting and implementing IEPs Preferred, but not mandatory: CPI or de-escalation training, significant experience managing behavioral challenges, CPR Certification Ability to pass district-mandated drug screening and fingerprint background check, in addition to a general background check

Your Responsibilities:

Support classroom instruction in lower-ratio classes, providing focused assistance for students with complex communication needs Foster positive classroom environments even during challenging behaviors Collaborate with teaching teams to implement IEPs and tailored behavior management plans Serve as a proactive and empathetic presence for students with a variety of special needs Maintain up-to-date documentation as required Ensure continuous safety and wellbeing for students in your care This contract runs through the end of the academic year (May 27, 2027), Monday through Friday, 35 hours per week aligned with the school calendar.
