South Bend, IN Temporary-to-hire opportunity with career growth and stability Must be available to work Saturdays as needed and provide 2nd shift coverage when needed Weekly Pay with direct deposit or pay card When you work through The Reserves Network, you are eligible to enroll in dental, vision and medical insurance as well as 401(k), direct deposit and the referral bonus program Job Description An established manufacturing company in South Bend is seeking an experienced Payroll Clerk to support payroll and timekeeping for a union workforce. This position manages daily time and attendance activities, reconciles employee hours and production data, and helps ensure accurate payroll processing. The Payroll Clerk will work closely with employees, supervisors, operations, and Human Resources to resolve discrepancies and maintain compliance with union agreements and company policies.

Responsibilities:

Manage daily time and attendance activities, including reviewing timecards, entering information, and resolving exceptions Reconcile employee hours, production data, incentive pay, payroll adjustments, and union dues to ensure accurate processing Investigate payroll discrepancies and respond to employee and supervisor questions regarding timecards, pay, and adjustments Prepare spreadsheets, shift summaries, payroll audits, and operational reports while maintaining accurate records and process documentation Partner with Human Resources and operations to support union contract compliance, payroll processes, reporting, and continuous process improvements

Qualifications and Requirements:

1+ years of experience with ADP eTime or a similar payroll/timekeeping system 1+ years of experience working in a union environment Advanced Microsoft Excel skills, including data tracking, reconciliation, spreadsheets, and reporting Strong attention to detail with the ability to identify and resolve payroll and data discrepancies independently Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet daily deadlines in a fast-paced environment Strong written and verbal communication skills with employees, supervisors, and cross-functional teams High School Diploma or equivalent required Some college coursework in accounting, business, or a related field preferred Manufacturing environment experience and SAP exposure preferred Must be available to work Saturdays as needed and provide 2nd shift coverage when required Must successfully complete required pre-employment screening, including a drug screen and education verification
