Job Overview We are seeking a dedicated and energetic Full-Time Dental Assistant to join our dynamic dental team. This vital role involves supporting dentists during patient procedures, managing clinical operations, and ensuring a smooth, efficient patient experience. The ideal candidate will possess a passion for patient care, a strong understanding of dental procedures, and the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment. You will play an essential part in delivering high-quality dental services while maintaining clinical confidentiality and infection control standards. This full-time position offers an exciting opportunity to grow your career within a supportive and professional setting. Duties Assist dentists chairside during various procedures including general dentistry, oral surgery, endodontics, prosthodontics, and pediatric dentistry Prepare treatment rooms by sterilizing instruments, setting up dental equipment, and ensuring all supplies are ready for patient care Take and develop dental X-rays using advanced imaging technology such as 3D scanners and dental x-ray machines Manage patient records accurately using electronic Dentrix or Open Dental ensuring compliance with HIPAA regulations Perform dental instrument processing and sterilization procedures following infection prevention management protocols and aseptic techniques Monitor vital signs and medical history of patients to ensure safety during treatments Educate patients on oral health care practices and post-treatment instructions to promote optimal outcomes Support patient management through effective communication, appointment scheduling, and handling administrative tasks as a dental receptionist when needed Maintain clinical confidentiality policies while handling sensitive medical records and patient information Ensure all dental equipment is properly maintained and operated safely in accordance with infection control standards Experience Previous experience working in a dental environment is highly preferred, especially with general dentistry Proficiency with dental software such as Dentrix, Open Dental, or other patient management software is essential Demonstrated knowledge of dental terminology, anatomy, and medical terminology relevant to dental procedures Hands-on experience with dental x-ray techniques and radiographic imaging including 3D scanning technology Familiarity with dental sterilization procedures, infection prevention management, and aseptic techniques to ensure clinical safety Ability to perform chairside assisting efficiently using four-handed dentistry techniques Strong understanding of healthcare infection prevention and control policies aligned with clinical confidentiality standards Excellent communication skills for effectively interacting with patients of all ages, especially in pediatric dentistry settings Join us to be part of a vibrant team committed to delivering exceptional dental care!
