Description Position Overview Great Lakes Psychology Clinic is seeking a dedicated and licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT) to join our team in a full-time capacity. Work Environment This position operates primarily from a remote setting, allowing for flexibility and work-life balance. As part of an outpatient office team, you will interact regularly with peers via virtual meetings, facilitating an engaging and collaborative atmosphere. Key Responsibilities Conduct comprehensive assessments to understand the mental health needs of clients, utilizing evidence-based methodologies to develop tailored treatment plans. Engage in collaborative discussions with clients to set achievable therapeutic objectives and track their progress toward well-being. Provide high-quality psychotherapy in individual, couple, and family formats, adapting techniques and interventions to meet the unique needs of each client. Utilize teletherapy options for virtual sessions, ensuring access for clients who may face barriers to in-person visits. Maintain detailed and accurate records of client progress and treatment outcomes, adhering to ethical standards and confidentiality regulations. Participate in regular team meetings, case consultations, and supervision sessions to foster a culture of continuous learning and development. Stay informed of current best practices and emerging developments in the field of marriage and family therapy, incorporating new insights into your practice. Patient Population / Client Focus This role supports a diverse clientele, including couples, children, teens, and families facing various challenges such as substance use, trauma, and relational difficulties. We encourage applications from clinicians experienced in serving diverse populations, including clients of color and the LGBTQIA community, to enrich our practice and enhance the support we provide to those in need. Qualifications A Master's Degree in Marriage and Family Therapy from an accredited institution. Current state-issued LMFT license in New York. A minimum of two years of full-time counseling experience is required, demonstrating a commitment to the mental health field. Experience working with a range of client demographics, including families and adolescents, is essential. Preferred Experience While not mandatory, candidates with specialized experience in substance use disorders, trauma-informed care, or therapeutic modalities such as Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) are encouraged to apply. Familiarity with telehealth tools and electronic health record systems will enhance candidate qualifications. Compensation and Benefits This full-time position offers a competitive salary range of
USD 90,000
to 105,000 annually, commensurate with experience and qualifications.
